How to get there

Location and Accessibility

The Balinsasayao Twin Lakes Natural Park is 25.5 km and is a 40–60-minute ride from the city of Dumaguete by private vehicle. The park is reachable by all types of transportation except big buses. Balinsasayao Twin Lakes Natural Park (BTLNP) lies at coordinates 9° 21’ North latitude and 123° 10’ East longitude with an area of 8016.5 hectares. It covers the municipalities of Sibulan, San Jose, and Valencia Negros Oriental.

When taking public transportation, there is a terminal of PUJ going to San Jose located at Caltex Highway in front of the Hotel Palwa on the north road of the city. From the terminal, it takes 30 to 45 minutes to go to the intersection of Lala-an and San Jose. From the crossing, there is a habal-habal which costs Php 300.00 per person one way and it will take 45 to 50 minutes.

User’s Fees

The collected fees of BTLNP are based on DENR
Administrative Order 2016-24 which provides the principle and guidelines for
determining fees to access sustainable use of resources. The fees for entrance and use of facilities and resources
in protected areas.

Waiving of Fees

The visitors and guests asking for free entrance shall provide a valid Identification
Card to be recognized by the entrance/visitor assistant personnel at the Registration/Information
Center.
